Energy efficiency and air quality improved

Did you know that to maximize the performance and energy efficiency of your heating and air conditioning equipment, it is recommended that you have your air ducts cleaned at least every three years, and even more frequently in some cases (e.g., restaurants)?

A proper duct cleaning helps counteract several factors associated with inadequate ventilation. Dust accumulation requires repetitive maintenance of mechanical components, and can lead to significant heat loss and clog filtration systems. It can also diminish the mechanical performance of your equipment and reduce its life span through overheating of the exchanger.

Furthermore, cleaning your air ducts helps improve the quality of the air your occupants breathe daily, by removing such contaminants as dust, allergens, bacteria, microbes, moulds, germs and so on.

We understand the importance of maintaining adequate ventilation, and that is why GMP Énergie offers you a thorough cleaning of your ventilation systems carried out by our experts, Air Systems Cleaning Specialists (ASCSs) certified by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA). This type of cleaning allows for removal of accumulated dust and debris through a process adapted for the commercial and institutional markets.

Well-maintained air ducts help keep the ambient air clean and optimize your systems’ performance.

A few words about NADCA

The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) was created in 1989. A non-profit organization, its membership is made up of firms that specialize in the cleaning of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems. Its main mission is to set the cleaning standards for this industry and to be a reference in this field.

Contractors wishing to become members of this association must undergo a rigorous examination that covers, among other things, the knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems, industry standards and practices in the safety field.  The Air System Cleaning Specialist (ASCS) certification of our partner Ultra Air is recognized around the world by air cleaning system contractors.

Today, NADCA is recognized internationally for its standards and certifications related to the cleaning of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.   Currently, the association has more than 60 member firms in over 20 countries.
